Foliage Cruz Fall 2004
|
|
On the crisp fall morning of October 15, we left the Colonial Hotel for a day of sight seeing and cruising. Our first stop was at the Freight House Antiques for a stretch and a hot cup of coffee. We then headed for our educational boat ride down the scenic Connecticut River. Lunch was the next order of business at the French King Restaurant followed by a brisk walk across the famous French King Bridge. After our exercise and a bit more cruising, we headed to Johnson's Farm where we indulged in homemade pie and ice cream. After dessert, we waddled back to the cars and cruised to our member, Pattie's historic homestead. We then headed back to the hotel where we ate a terrific meal, watched the horrific game 3 of the ALCS, and enjoyed some laughs and great stories.
